This year's Hot Dog Eating contest on Coney Island surely met the hype and exceeded everyone's expectations as Joey Chestnut beat the reigning champ, Mr. Kobayashi. Chesty Nutz threw down a total of 63 dawgs to become the champion of the world!

For those unfortunate few who were unable to see the live contest, here is a clip of the final few minutes, including Kobayashi vomitting in his own hands around 5:05 mark.

What You Know About Alpha Dog?

I watched that movie "Alpha Dog" last night...I was totally surprised at how good it was. Totally dark and really f'ed up, but one of those movies that stick with you for some time after you watch it.

If you haven't seen it, it's based on a true story of a bunch of kids who get caught up in their drug-dealing lifestyle and essentially lose touch with reality. Their judgement eventually becomes very compromised and their lives begin to roll out of control.

What You Know About Rye Playland?

Ughhhh...

This place really turned into a fuckin mess. I used to go to Playland 3-4 times a year as a field trip with day camp or on a Friday night with my family. I would rather that my children play in pile of hypodermic needles than let them go to Playland and go on those rides these days.

Seriously, between the history of gang violence and the horrible pre-cautions that are neglected for the amusement rides...I'm surprised there isn't a weekly column in the local paper detailing the crap that goes on there.

Another horrible death occurred this weekend as a 21-year-old White Plains worker at the Rye Playland Amusement Park was killed when thrown from a gyrating ride. Gabriela Garin had changed shifts with another ride operator and then got on the ride to make sure visitors were properly secured, when her replacement started the ride.
