Oh no...not in our beloved SYRACUSE!
Do you guys know about the whole "Stop Snitching" campaign that has been stemming up recently? Well, apparently, there have been a bunch of these DVD's that have been filmed up in Syracuse...
Not a big deal, right...
Well, somehow, the director of the film was able to dupe the Mayor of Syracuse into appearing in and endorsing the film. Check out this clip which features the Mayor in the very beginning of the tape.
It's not only the Mayor that seems to be experiencing hardships either though:
FROM THE SYRACUSE POST STANDARD
Video producer shot in wrist
The Syracuse man who duped Mayor Matt Driscoll into endorsing a video filled with drugs, sex and violence, was shot in the wrist Sunday.
James Williams, 24, of 99 MacDougall Place, told police he was walking up Sterling Avenue at 8:40 a.m. between Hudson and Rich streets, Sgt. Tom Connellan said. A passenger in a white car that was driving by got out and fired several shots at Williams. Williams was hit once in the left wrist.
He was treated at University Hospital. His injury was not life-threatening, Connellan said.
Williams, a former city intern, asked Driscoll to do an on-camera endorsement for Constantly Under Surveillance Everywhere Vol. II. Williams is one of the producers of the video.
In it, groups of young men rap about the glories of the gang lifestyle and condemn those who give information to the police.
